Jakarta
(ANTARA News) - The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Indonesia launched its
official Facebook page on April 5, 2012, according to an embassy press
statement.
The account
is Facebook.com/RusEmbJakarta. The page will contain information focusing on
Russia’s foreign policy, Russian-Indonesian relations, and activities of the
Russian Embassy in Indonesia.
In its
statement, officials said all other Facebook accounts which claim to belong to
the Russian Embassy in Jakarta are false, while information they contain may
not accurately report the actual state of Russian affairs.
The new
Facebook page is expected to help increase awareness about Russia among the
Indonesian public.
In January
2012, the Australian Embassy in Jakarta also launched its official Facebook
page.
