Facebook has been ordered to
come clean about the origins of a sex film featuring a 21-year-old Dutch woman
which was placed on the social media platform.
The woman, named as Chantal,
went to court to force Facebook to reveal the name of the person who opened the
account and uploaded the video in January.
Facebook Nederland told the court
all the information about who opened the account has been wiped from their
system.
Nevertheless, the court ruled Facebook has two weeks to gather all the
information it can about who is behind the account. If it continues to insist
all the information has been wiped, this must be verified by an independent
third party, the court said.
