While the number of people in work has
risen, the number of managers has dropped by 8%, from 531,000 to 490,000.
The
figures, released on Tuesday by the central statistics office CBS, show that
although female managers are still in the minority, their number has risen from
24% of managers to 26%.
The number of people working in Dutch companies and
organisations in a management position has also risen: from one in 15 to one in
17.
The majority of job losses at management level were in the insurance and
financial services sectors.
