Chinese
scientists have made the very first experimental observation of a phenomenon
known as the quantum anomalous Hall (QAH) effect, a discovery that will help
accelerate the IT revolution and in developing low-power-consumption
electronics.
Yang
Zhenning, winner of a Nobel prize in physics, said at a press conference on
Wednesday that the research was ground-breaking in the field, rating it as
worthy of a Nobel prize.
The QAH
effect is one of the most important physical effects that had remained
unobserved worldwide, according to academic Xue Qikun, who has led a team
working on the subject since 2008.
The
discovery, if it is harnessed in the future, will help reduce unnecessary
energy consumption stemming from irregular electron collisions, according to
Xue.
"The
technology may even bring about a supercomputer in the shape of an iPad,"
predicted Xue.
The QAH
effect was predicted to occur in magnetic topological insulators by American
scientist Edwin Hall more than 130 years ago. It is a kind of quantum Hall
effect realized at zero magnetic field.
The quantum
Hall effect describes how a voltage appears at both semiconductor edges when
the electrons on a current-carrying semiconductor experience a force while
being kept in a magnetic field, Xue explained.
The
academic said that although leapfrog development has been made in semiconductor
technology, the unsettled problem of thermal dissipation caused by irregular
movements of electrons has created a bottleneck for the IT industry's further
development.
The
research, launched by a team of scientists from Tsinghua University in Beijing
and the Institution of Physics under the Chinese Academy of Science, was
conducted on more than 1,000 samples at zero magnetic fields.
However,
there remains a long way ahead for the observation to be taken into practical
application due to limited research resources at present, Xue added.

But in the case of Tesla, he had figured out how to broadcast electricity through the ground. You need towers for that because they have to pick up the magnetics within the ground in a certain way to broadcast them and then collect them again from the nodes of the planet's magnetic grid system. We talked about this before. He was utilizing the grid of the planet that is in the earth itself! He was on the edge of showing that you could use the whole grid of the planet magnetically to broadcast electricity and pick it up where you need it, safely, with no wires. But the earth was not ready for it.
Tesla died a broken man, filled with ideas that would have brought peace to planet Earth, but he was simply not allowed to give any of them to you.

“ … Physicists say that electrons spin. They don't, and they can't. There's no surface on an electron, since they are energy. They don't spin, but instead have an electronic potential. Every single particle on this planet, everything you can see, all things in this Universe, are created with polarity. This is new information now. All things are created with polarity, and they're designed to be self-balancing. And because of the polarity of what you would call plus and minus, they move and try to balance themselves within a field - all things, both physical and other.
However, all polarities are prone to be biased by what I will call peer pressure. Electrons that carry (or spin with a polarity) of what you would call a certain kind of charge - we'll call it positive - are drawn to those that are negative so that they will null themselves out. They seek each other out to create the null of balance. They seek to be balanced, and if they are not, they are not happy. I use this word only to emphasize the condition of a particle of physics that does not find its balance. Even the unscientific can appreciate this.
But even with atoms, there are not always matched pairs of electrons, since there is no atomic rule that says that electrons will always be created in even numbers. So there will often be what I will call the odd one out and when that happens, the entire atom will then be charged positively or negatively, depending upon the odd one out. When this happens, this atom will seek out another atom, which has an odd one out of an opposite charge. That has a name: Magnetism. I've just explained magnetism. Now, science knows part of that already. What they have not realized yet, however, is that all things have a duality. They suspect it and there are theories that will show it soon enough, and I've given it to you today because it always has existed in someone's mind.
